As you are no doubt aware, Portobello High Street has been
having a bit of a facelift over the past few months. And now
it’s our turn. The first week was pretty awful for all
concerned, with atrocious weather making it difficult for
the workmen to get anything done. Now, however, not only has
the weather perked up, but the end is definitely in sight.
So, we’d just like to say thank you to the team who have
been working on our patch of pavement. They have been both
efficient and accommodating. We are also grateful to our
students, who have cheerfully put up with the noise and dirt
– it’ll all have been worth it in the end.
Need help buying
a computer?
Apart from the usual
wide array of courses running this term, a number of
students have been taking advantage of our expertise when it
comes to buying a new PC or laptop.
The first lesson of the course is used for learning to surf
the web with a purpose: finding the best computer for your
needs. This can then be ordered on line or in store. Once
you have your new computer, the rest of the course is used
to help you make the most of your purchase.
For more information, call into the school for a chat, call
us or send us an email.
East Lothian Buzz
If you haven’t
already heard about it, have a look at East Lothian Buzz
next time you’re doing a bit of surfing. This is a
super-friendly Community Network for the whole of East
Lothian. You’ll find Heather (representing PCS) as one of
its many members. It’s a really good way to find out about
what’s going on in this part of the world.
You can also tune in to East Coast FM…Jonathan will be
saying a few words about the school on Monday March 8th (at
around 10.45am).
Easter Holidays
We will be closing for the Easter holidays at 6.30 pm on
Thursday 1 April 2010.
The school will re-open for the summer term on Friday 16
April 2010.
